“I’m So Glad You Asked.” is a substance abuse education curriculum designed especially for preschool and kindergarten aged children. Through the use of this guidebook and suggested support materials, a wide variety of topics are explored. Lessons touch on topics from poisons to pills and cover concepts such as “How Much Is Too Much” and “Safe or Unsafe.” For the past twenty years “I’m So Glad
You Asked.” has been used in a wide variety of settings across
North America and throughout the world: From rural and suburban communities in Massachusetts,
South Dakota, Texas, Vermont and many, many others to the inner cities
of Chicago Illinois, Los Angeles, California, New York, New York,
Washington DC and more. From the Hawaiian Islands and Puerto Rico
to Native American Nations in Arizona, California, Nevada and Inuit
Communities in Alaska and Canada. Many thousands of children have begun the process
of learning about, and coping with, issues related to substance
abuse (as well as mental illness, domestic violence, sexual abuse …and
a variety of other issues) where learning self-love and self-care
is critical to building a productive and happy life. Until now, "I'm So Glad You Asked." has been available
only to the professional community. For the past two decades, educators,
medical and mental health professionals and addictions treatment
providers have written
to tell us of their successes. We look forward to hearing about yours!
