“I’m So Glad You Asked.” is a substance abuse education curriculum designed especially for preschool and kindergarten aged children. Through the use of this guidebook and suggested support materials, a wide variety of topics are explored. Lessons touch on topics from poisons to pills and cover concepts such as “How Much Is Too Much” and “Safe or Unsafe.”


For the past twenty years “I’m So Glad You Asked.” has been used in a wide variety of settings across North America and throughout the world:

From Head Starts, Montessori, Public and Private Kindergartens to Family Day Cares, Catholic, Hebrew, Methodist and other Religious Children’s Services. From Legal Aid, Urban Family Centers and Hospitals to Clinics and Alcohol & Drug Treatment Programs.


From rural and suburban communities in Massachusetts, South Dakota, Texas, Vermont and many, many others to the inner cities of Chicago Illinois, Los Angeles, California, New York, New York, Washington DC and more. From the Hawaiian Islands and Puerto Rico to Native American Nations in Arizona, California, Nevada and Inuit Communities in Alaska and Canada.

Many thousands of children have begun the process of learning about, and coping with, issues related to substance abuse (as well as mental illness, domestic violence, sexual abuse …and a variety of other issues) where learning self-love and self-care is critical to building a productive and happy life.

Until now, "I'm So Glad You Asked." has been available only to the professional community. For the past two decades, educators, medical and mental health professionals and addictions treatment providers have written to tell us of their successes. We look forward to hearing about yours!
