The lessons are subtle, powerful steps toward helping children learn to identify their feelings and ask for what they need. I was about to teach the lesson "I think I need a Hug," when I realized that I didn't know how to ask for a hug myself. I practiced for a week or so with my family and when I felt I had it down, I taught the lesson to the children. It was wonderful. Hugs all around!
